All of our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children. Our teachers have successfully completed the Music Together®® Teaching Workshop developed by the Center for Music and Young Children, Princeton, New Jersey.
They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.
Carol Smoot
Carol has been the Director of Music Together with Carol since Spring of 2000. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from The College of New Jersey in Trenton, NJ. She was a violist in the NJ Youth Symphony. Carol made Music Together her career in 2000 after many years of attending the program with her 2 children, now 12 & 15. In 2005 Carol was awarded Certification Level 1 from the Music Together parent company for outstanding achievement in articulating and teaching of the Music Together program.
Emily Taylor
Registered Teacher
After 3 years of participating in Music Together with her own daughter, Emily decided this was an experience she wanted to share with other parents and children. In the Spring of 2004, Emily successfully completed the Music Together® Teaching Workshop developed by the Center for Music and Young Children, Princeton, New Jersey and began teaching. Growing up she sang in her church and school choirs, played the clarinet in her school band and was involved in several stage productions.
